On Thursday, September 24, traffic on McKenzie County Road 53 east of Watford City
will be moved from a temporary detour route onto the newly-constructed portion of
the roundabout at the intersection of ND Highway 73 and ND Highway 23 (Johnson’s
Corner). McKenzie County Road 53 traffic will utilize a portion of the roundabout to
travel east and west on ND Highway 23. However, work continues on the remaining
portions of the roundabout and other traffic at the intersection area will continue
to utilize the detour routes in place.
During construction:
* Motorists should expect delays.
* Speeds are reduced to 25 mph at the roundabout
* A 12-foot width restriction is in place
